Monel pipe is a high-performance alloy pipe made primarily of a nickel-copper blend, known for its superior corrosion resistance and strength, especially in marine environments. It resists various acids, seawater, and stress-corrosion cracking, making it ideal for demanding applications in chemical processing, oil and gas, and marine industries. Monel 400 is a common grade, offering excellent durability at high temperatures and pressures.

Composition and properties

Composition: Consists of a high percentage of nickel (minimum 63%) and copper (28-34%), with small amounts of iron and manganese.
Corrosion resistance: Highly resistant to seawater, brackish water, and various acids like hydrochloric and hydrofluoric, especially when de-aerated.
