Nickel 200 pipes and tubes are made from commercially pure (99.6%) wrought nickel, providing excellent resistance to numerous corrosive environments, especially caustic alkalies. With good mechanical properties and high thermal and electrical conductivity, they are used in a variety of industries. Their exceptional corrosion resistance and durability make them valuable for applications in chemical processing, aerospace components, food handling equipment, and electronics. However, Nickel 200 is typically limited to service below 600F (315C) to prevent graphitization, an issue resolved by the low-carbon Nickel 201 for higher-temperature uses.
