About Nickel 200 Strips

Nickel 200 strips are flat, thin forms of a commercially pure, wrought nickel alloy (UNS N02200) known for its excellent mechanical properties and high resistance to various corrosive environments, particularly caustic alkalis and neutral to moderately reducing media. It offers high thermal and electrical conductivity, good formability and weldability, and is ferromagnetic. Key applications include food processing, chemical shipping drums, and electrical components due to its purity, but it is not recommended for service above 600F (316C) where it can lose ductility.

Purity: A commercially pure wrought nickel with a minimum nickel content of 99.6%.
Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, especially caustic alkalis and neutral to reducing conditions.
Mechanical Properties: Good mechanical properties across a wide temperature range, though significant strength loss occurs above 600F (316C).
Conductivity: High thermal and electrical conductivity compared to steels.
Formability: Highly ductile, with good weldability and formability.
Ferromagnetism: It is a ferromagnetic material.
